Michael Intravartolo: Non Traditional Resume

I'm the son of a small business owner and surgical nurse whom both taught me most of what I know. My first job was literally cleaning washrooms for a dollar a day, vacuuming carpets, emptying trash cans, and lint-rolling furniture when I was 7 years old. In the years since I have been a luggage salesman, food salesman, a cashier at a food chain, and a project manager...and that was before I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

After earning my bachelor degree I continued to move up the corporate ladder by becoming a Department Manager, however, the corporate climb was still not enough to satisfy my hunger for knowledge. Therefore, I enrolled in a Master's of Business Administration program and found that I am a life-long learner. While obtaining my master's degree my passion for writing and stock investing became more apparent as I gained knowledge. During the crash of 2007-2008 I was fortunate enough to buy certain stocks like Las Vegas Sands, Apple, Google, and many others at what I believed to be discounted prices. Having eventually gained capital from these discounted buys I was able to take more calculated risks within the markets, and I am proud to say my investments have yielded me a 60% average return annually since 2007.

After establishing myself in the stock market I began focusing on my love for education, technology, and writing. I quickly took a side job with Examiner.com as a Chicago iPad Examiner. As a iPad examiner I was allowed to hone my writing skills and develop my writing style. Once I understood who I was as a writer I learned that Cody Willard wrote on his blog on Appconsumer.com that they were looking for writers. Soon after submitting some sample articles Cody and his team quickly gave me my own column and made me a featured writer. Along the way I reviewed many different applications for smart phones, tablets, and computers while gaining a loyal following.

Nowadays, I write on Livespin.info, am the Director of Operations for King's Services, Inc., enrolled in the Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership, and organize many charitable activities.
